Julia Chears-Young, Ph.D.

Dr. Chears-Young is the owner and Principal Research Consultant of Precise Data Consulting, LLC.  She has over 15 years of experience in quantitative and qualitative data collection which includes, developing research protocols (e.g., surveys, questionnaires, assessments), facilitating focus groups, interviewing, conducting observations, analyzing data, writing technical reports, and presentations.  She has worked on numerous research and evaluation projects in education and health sciences research, and program evaluation; servicing various social services, non-profit, PK-12, medical, state and county organizations. Dr. Chears-Young has more than a decade of experience as an examiner responsible for administering secure psychological and educational assessments.

As well, she is knowledgeable in and has experience in the financial industry, primarily life insurance and banking, where she worked for 12 years prior to a career change. She has served in various positions and roles on education boards and non-profit committees in Minnesota, Ohio, and Arkansas. Dr. Chears-Young is a devout believer and is committed to giving back through charitable contributions and volunteering her time to the ministry.

Dr. Julia Chears-Young, a native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, earned her Doctorate of Philosophy and Master of Arts in Educational Psychology from the University of Minnesota.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a certificate in Human Resource Development from the University of Cincinnati.
